V.F.W. Post 5669 was organized in October, 1984 with 100 members. Today Jan. 2003 we have over 300 members
The first Commander was Pete Lawson and the first Quartermaster was J.R. Norman. On Jan. 31, 1987, the post moved to it's present location on Aberta Ave. Shortly after that the Ladies Auxiliary was organized with Jane King as President.
In July 1991, construction of the post home was started. With 95% of the work being done by post members and auxiliary. In August 1992, we moved into the building with only the canteen area finished.
It has been a great effort by many, many people to have the building we now have.
